When I was given the privilege of taking over as Chair of the Association of INTODogs, I wanted to make sure that we found ways to export the excellent professional culture and high ethics the organisation was founded on. I realised that this should extend beyond just the behaviourists and trainers in private practice, and come to include our amazing colleagues who work in and with animal rescue.
I was lucky to have been involved in the amazing Dog Rescue Unites event, which showed the real need for rescue professionals to have more opportunity to connect, gain education and feel supported in what can often be a difficult and emotionally challenging job. This led to a conversation with my dear friend and organiser of the DRU event, Rosie Taylor-Trigg, about how best to provide both a legacy for the event and ensure rescue professionals had a collective voice moving forward. From these discussion INTORescue was born!
As Trustee and former Chair of The Association of INTODogs, I and the committee are fully committed to providing the support and structure to give INTORescue the very best start. Rosie has complied an excellent committee and we are all really excited about what this new organisation can achieve. INTORescue – welcome to the INTODogs family.
